Meissen German Porcelain Grouping of 4 Children – late 19th Century.
v** SOLD ARCHIVES **vA large 4 figure grouping of children by Meissen. The children stand back to back, facing outwards on a circular base – they are arranged at different heights. The highest figure is of a boy with a ship captain’s hat playing with flowers in each hand. The others boy in yellow has a shovel while the 2 girls have flowers gathered in their aprons – all figures are dressed in period clothing.
The base is decorated with a pink swag ribbon surrounding the base of the figures.
The figures are colourful and very well painting.
The grouping measures: 11 inches high x 6 inches diameter (at base).
Marked with Meissen crossed swords mark on bottom.
Excellent condition.
