Meissen “Onion” Pattern Serving Bowl

This Meissen bowl in the classic ‘Blue Onion’ pattern of classic blue on white porcelain featuring a wonderful hand painted combination of  vines, leaves, and flowers in the design. The scalloped rim has a painted lattice border punctuated with 5 decorative floral medallions. In the centre, there is a unique bouquet that is a rather whimsical arrangement of the pattern.

Such a functional Meissen bowl – a delight for entertaining or placed on display.

Marked: Meissen mark of crossed swords in blue underglaze.

Measures: 8 3/4 inches in diameter x 2 5/8 inches high.
