MEISSEN Porcelain Figure of Girl with Picked Flowers and Lace Clothing circa 1910
v** SOLD ARCHIVES **vPorcelain Meissen Figure – Girl with Picked Flowers – Hand Painted Dress and ‘Lace’ decoration.
circa 1910.
An enchanting Meissen figure of a girl with a serene face, hair pulled back in a bun and tied with a pink ribbon. Her painted skirt has pink stripes and tiny flowers, a mint green apron tucks into her waistband, her light blue bodice is accented with applied porcelain lace. The girl holds her mauve hat in which contains a mix of applied flowers. The girl is in bare feet and stands upon a green base decorated with white and gols scrolls. The lace is most exquisite on the front bodice of her dress but also accents the hem of her skirt.
I have seen this figure without the Lace decoration on her dress. The lace makes this so much more refined and valuble.
Marked: Crossed swords mark for Meissen. Decorator’s mark ’54’ & impressed mark #6 & L.N.
