A wonderfully vibrant oil painting on board by a Canadian artist, Orville Clinton Madden, who lived from 1892 to 1971.

The painting subject is a still life of peonies in a bowl and it is housed in a gilded wooden frame.

It is signed by the artist in the lower right hand corner of the painting.
