Pair of Early Berlin – K.P.M. Porcelain Lidded Vases in Pink with 4 Romantic Scenes.
v** SOLD ARCHIVES **vA lovely pair of early Berlin or K.P.M. porcelain lidded vases in pink with romantic scenes on both sides. Each vase a scenes in the oval on either side. The scenes are romantic with couples in various poses. The vases are beautiful shade of pink with highlights in gold. The square bases have 4 bun feet. Each vase marked in the underglaze blue ‘Sceptre’ KPM mark dating them circa 1830.
KPM is the Royal Porcelain Factory in Berlin, Germany founded in 1763 by Frederick II of Prussia.
Marked: On the underside in blue ‘Sceptre’ mark.
Measures: 9 inches tall x 4 1/4 inches wide (2 1/2 inches in diameter opening of vase lip)
