Pair of Bohemian Emerald Green Glass Mantle Lustres each with Hanging Crystal Prisms, Late 19th Century
Art Glass / CrystalA lovely pair of late 19th century Bohemian emerald green tinted glass mantle lustres with ten clear prisms surrounding the body of each lustre. Each lustre, all in emerald green tinted glass, has a shaft extending from a large circular base and topped with a wide polylobed arched cup trimmed in gold painted overlay. The ten elongated prisms surrounding each lustre are cut crystal in amazing detail. Each hanging elongated prism consisting of two cut crystal pieces. One smaller circular crystal prism attached to an elongated triangular crystal prism cut with a scalloped edge that only adds to the light reflectivity. Owing to the late 19th century antique period of these delicate glass pieces, there are a few signs of wear that aren’t overall, visually a distraction. Each lustre has a luxurious and colourful effect with a beautiful “rainbow” mirror-like dimension.
