Pair of Gorham USA Sterling Silver and Heavy Crystal Square Inkwells, c. 1895

A wonderful pair of Gorham USA heavy crystal square inkwells with embossed sterling silver tops, c. 1895.  Each inkwell is monogrammed. The larger one has the initials “PCL?” and the smaller one is monogrammed “EB?”.

The inside of the smaller inkwell has a gold wash; the larger one does not.

On the back of each sterling collar are hallmarks and the word “sterling” is stamped. In addition, on the smaller piece is stamped “S3098”. On the larger piece is stamped “S 3100”.

The smaller inkwell is 2 1/2 inches square and 3 inches tall. The larger inkwell is 3 1/2 inches square and 3 3/4 inches tall.

There are some very tiny dents on the lids and a couple of tiny scratches on the larger inkwell crystal but, overall, these pieces are in good / very good condition.
