Pair of Richard Klemm Dresden Germany Demi-Tasse Hand-Painted Cups and Saucers, Putti Playing Outdoors

A gorgeous pair of Richard Klemm Dresden Germany hand-painted and gilded demitasse cups and saucers, depicting putti playing outdoors.

The  cups have a white interior and the saucers have white undersides. The tops of the saucers and the cups are lavishly painted in colourful outdoor scenes with putti playing. Both the cups and saucers are heavily gilded on the edges and on the handles of the cups.

The undersides of the saucers show the Dresden maker’s marks, Richard Klemm’s marks and “Dresden Germany” in blue on gold.

The cups are 3 inches wide from the rims to the handles and stand 2 1/4 inches tall. The saucers are 4 1/2 inches in diameter.

One of the cups shows a few tiny flakes of gold missing but, otherwise, the pieces seem to be in very good condition and the cups have a nice ring to them.
