This is an elegant pair of fish servers with English hallmarked sterling silver handles, that fit very nicely in the hand. The elaborate knife blade is pierced and has an engraved scroll pattern enhanced by three detailed fish, the 4 tine fork is elaborately engraved too, both sides of the knife and fork are decorated and are silver plated. The handles bear a lightly engraved crest of an armoured arm with an arrow in hand and are hallmarked.
Marked: Crown for Sheffield, Left facing lion passant for Sterling, Head of the Monarch – Queen Victoria – denotes circa 1885 and AH for the maker Arron Hatfield & Sons.
Knife Measures: 12 3/4 inches long with a slender blade 1 3/8 inches wide.
Fork Measures: 9 inches long x 2 inches wide.
