Pair of Porcelaine De Paris Armorial Plates

A pair of Porcelaine De Paris with French Armorial crests plates, dating from the early 20th Century. The pieces are hand-painted with colours of  sky blue, royal blue and red with gold accents on white. The plates are decorated with leaf, floral and beaded patterns around the centre and rim with a unique scalloped design.  In the centre of each lies a French Armour Crest, with three fleur-de-lis, as a symbol of French heraldry, or the royal flag that was unofficially used for the reign”Île-de-France’, meaning “Island of France.”

Marked: On the bottom in blue, Porcelaine De Paris, France.

Measures:  just over 10 inches diameter each.

Excellent Condition: No chips, cracks or repairs.
