Rare & Etherial Bohemian Moser Style Pair of “Petite” Display Bowls, Hand Painted Floral & Gilt Enamel Motifs on Glass, Circa 1895-1910

Exquisite pair of late 19th /early 20th century Bohemian Moser style “petite” display bowls.  Stunning examples of Bohemian and Moser style glass artistry, renowned for its luxurious hand-painted enamel and meticulous gilt detailing.  These pieces focus on the sculptural glass “hat” shape and the richly hand painted floral motifs. We see here Persian influences of captivating colour in the bold blues, greens and yellow ochre hand painted enamel floral motifs, all set within lavishly painted gold accents of “vine-like” threads that continuously wrap the interior surfaces.

Pieces like these, with their ornate enamel work and lavish gold gilding, likely date to the late 19th century to early 20th century, around 1890 to 1910. This period is known as the height of Moser’s craftsmanship and innovation. It should be noted that this time frame also aligns with the Art Nouveau movement, a period that excelled with designs inspired by nature, as evident in the hand painted enamelling and gilt designs but also in the curvilinear or undulating flowing shape of the glass itself.

Luxurious and rare glass pieces.
