A stunning rouge flambé glaze vase with country village landscape scene, created by Royal Doulton, dates circa 1930. Inspired by Orientalism, it has the lustrous flambé glaze in rouge, and a unique silhouette scene depicting a landscape of trees, hills, a river and a small village circulating around the vase. The flambé glaze by Dolton debuted at the St. Louis Exhibition in 1904, and was highly popular among collectors of art pottery.
