Large Moorcroft FLORIAN WARE JARDINIERE in Blues and Greens by William Moorcroft circa 1916
This is an impressive Moorcroft pottery jardiniere from England with two handles and 4 flat semicircular nubs jutting out from its sides. It is Florian Ware in beautiful blues and greens in what I believe is a tulip pattern. Signed by William Moorcroft. Dates circa 1916.
The design of this jardiniere was adapted from a classical pottery jardiniere that was excavated at Pompeii.
