Signed Schmidt-Felling (1835-1920) German Bronze Figurine of a World War I German Soldier with a Raised Flag in His Right Hand, Black and White Marble Base

A lovely bronze figurine of a German World War 1 soldier with a raised German flag in his right hand. The figurine is sculpted by Julius Schmidt-Felling and is signed “Schmidt Felling” on the back. Julius Schmidt-Felling was a German sculptor who was born in Berlin in 1835 and died in 1920.

The bronze is mounted on a black and white marble base. The bronze measures 13 inches tall from the tip of the flag to the base and the base is 3 3/4 inches deep x 2 1/8 inches wide.

Note: there is a chip on one side of the base. Otherwise, the piece is in excellent condition.
