Silver-Plated Asparagus Server with Slide Mechanism & Pierced Blade Decoration – John Gilbert, Birmingham (1812-1894)

A wonderful silver-plated asparagus server with pierced decoration on the blades and a slide mechanism.

The piece measures 10 inches in length and is 1 3/4 inches wide across the blades.  Makers mark for John Gilbert of Birmingham (1812-1894)

There is some age / usage slight scratching but, overall, the piece is in very good condition.
