A silver-plated shell shaped biscuit warmer, it dates circa 1900. The biscuit warmer consists of a large shaped shell dish, a pierced hinged section divider and a four-legged hinged stand. It features smooth forms and rounded edges, and is elegantly decorated with garland, leaf, shell and flower patterns upon the stand and handles. The biscuit barrel is a unique composition, with the right balance of timeless elegance and quality craft.
