Silver-Plated Shell Shaped Dish with Cherub Holding Etched Crystal Posy Holder – Roger Smith & Co., c. 1860

A gorgeous silver-plated shell shaped footed candy dish with a cherub holding an etched crystal posey holder. The maker is Roger Smith & Co. from Connecticut USA and dates circa 1860.

The maker’s mark is stamped on the inside of one of the legs.

The piece measures 8 3/4 inches long x 6 3/4 inches wide and stands 11 inches tall from the top of the cherub’s head to the feet.

It is in very good condition and would be a beautiful addition to anyone’s home.
