Splendid Guilloché Enamel Austrian Gilt Silver Snuff Box With Large Cameo

A stunning gilt silver and guilloche enamel snuff box of rectangular form with canted corners. The amber colour of the enamel panels on an engine turned ground are highlighted by a thin white enamel border.  The hinge lid is inset with a gorgeous large white and amber coloured oval cameo which is housed in a 14k or 18k gold frame (not marked).

Silver marks for Austria, circa 1900. A splendid addition for collectors of the art of guilloché and cameos.
