Tiffany Studios “Grape Vine” Pattern Stamp/Desk Box Early 20th Century

This Art Nouveau rectangular stamp/desk box has a hinged round top and is raised on ball feet with the sides displaying a pierced grapevine pattern and detailed trim. Early 20th century, with pierced silver-plated decoration, over opaque glass, opening to reveal three stamp compartments. Marked ‘Tiffany Studios New York no. 801’ on the underside. Grapevine was one of the earliest desk set patterns for Tiffany and comprised over 25 different pieces. With the pierced metalwork it was designed to be reminiscent of Tiffany’s stained glass windows.
