Victorian Hallmarked Sterling Silver (Birmingham 1890) British Royal Navy Bosun’s Call / Whistle, Maker: Hilliard & Thomasson

A rare English Victorian hallmarked (Birmingham 1890) sterling silver British Royal Navy Bosun’s call / whistle. The maker is Hilliard & Thomasson.

Each end of the barrel shaped buoy bears a crowned anchor on a lined ground and keel is decorated with hand engraved scrollwork.  The whistle is in fine working condition.

The whistle measures 4 1/2 inches long and is in very good condition.
