Georgian Period English Hallmarked Sterling Silver (Birmingham 1821) British Royal Navy Bosun’s Call / Whistle, Maker: Joseph Willmore

A beautiful Georgian period English hallmarked (Birmingham 1821) sterling silver Royal Navy bosun’s call / whistle. The piece shows full hallmarks and is made by Joseph Willmore.

Each end of the barrel shaped buoy bears the crowned anchor on a lined ground. The keel is ornamented with skillfully hand engraved scrollwork.

The whistle measures 3 3/4 inches long and is in very good condition.  This whistle is in fine working condition.
