British Victorian era pair of cheese/butter knives with elegant mother-of-pearl carved handles and gorgeous engraving details on the silver plate blades. British marks on the blades are “D & A” for Daniel & Arter of Birmingham England c. 1882. The original case, with ruby red satin and velvet linings, is in very good condition.

The combination of carved mother of pearl and silver engraving, whether it’s a hundred+ years ago or today, are two kinds of luxury.
