Large Art Nouveau cranberry glass perfume with engraved silver overlay. Made by Gorham in Providence, Rhode Island circa 1910. Globular in shape with a silver collar neck to include the ball stopper. The sterling silver overlay, including on the stopper, is a wonderful “Art Nouveau” design with entwined organic patterns to include stylized leaves with engraved detail. A cartouche within the overlay design is engraved with a script monogram. The silver frame is identified with the impressed marks:  943 (a design reference number also on the bottom of the stopper) and the stamped word  “STERLING”, the symbols for a lion, anchor and an Old English “G” for the “Gorham” trademark.

All in excellent condition. The cranberry glass is a deep rich red colour that just adds to the luxurious overall visual appeal.
