v** SOLD ARCHIVES **vA fabulous Repoussé decorated sterling tea service by Joseph Wilson and dated for London, 1823. Almost every square inch is hand worked repoussé and chasing mainly with florals (roses), face masks on each foot and each handle is in the shape of a woman’s head and body, the finials in the shape of roses and the spouts in the shape of bird’s heads. The set is quite heavy weighing just under 3 kilos of sterling .925 silver.

English hallmarks on bottom of each piece: for London, 1824 and maker “IW” for Joseph Wilson.
