The set features intricate repoussé floral and scrollwork designs, accented with a touch of Art Nouveau elegance. Crafted by the renowned Gorham Silver Manufactory—one of the most prominent American silver companies from the mid-19th to early 20th century.
By the late 1800s, Gorham had become one of the largest silver producers in the world. Its reputation for excellence was so strong that even Tiffany & Co. entrusted Gorham with the production of its silverware.
From 1879 to 1893, Gorham exhibited at every major International Fair, earning widespread acclaim and numerous awards—including 47 prizes for excellence at the Columbian Exposition alone.
