It was first introduced by the Royal Crown Derby company in the early 1900s (specifically recorded in pattern books around 1900) and remained highly popular for over 100 years, until it was officially discontinued circa 2003.  The pattern’s remarkable production run is a testament to its enduring charm and appeal, making it one of the company’s most iconic and beloved designs. Back stamped in this set with a “wartime dark green mark without a specific year code” indicates production was in the “Wartime Period” 1939-1945.
