French Liqueur Set in Inlaid Mahogany Case – circa 1890
v** SOLD ARCHIVES **vA wonderful French liqueur set in an inlaid mahogany case, circa 1890. The case contains gilded holders with 4 wheel cut decanters and 16 liqueur / cordial glasses. Six of the glasses are etched; the remainder are plain.
The case has two doors that open as well as a hinged front and lid. It sits on 4 round bun feet.
The piece, when closed, measures 12 1/2 inches long x 9 1/2 wide and stands 11 inches tall.
It is in very good condition. A couple of chips to two of the stoppers – that are not noticed as there is so much hand cutting to the crystal.
