This Satsuma vase from Japan is tall and slender and is decorated with multi coloured chrysanthemums in mauve, blue, pink and yellow, all highlighted with gold over the blooms, green leaves and grass. Thick gold decorative banding on rim, shoulder and base of the vase. Typical crazing shows.
Measures: 10 inches tall (just under) x 4 inches wide.
Mark: Gold Crossed Circle in a Rectangle over black, denotes Meiji period circa 1880.
Excellent Condition: No chips, cracks or repairs.
