Large “Falstaff” Toby Jug by Royal Doulton, England – D6287, Produced 1950-1995

This English Royal Doulton large porcelain Toby Jug is entitled “Falstaff” and was designed by Harry Fenton. It is numbered D6287, has a copyright date of 1955 and was discontinued in 1991. Sir John Falstaff, one of the most famous comic characters in all English literature, who appears in four of William Shakespeare’s plays and is part of the series, Characters in Litrature.

Marked: With the Doulton factory mark, Made in England, Royal Doulton, England, Falstaff, D6287, CORP 1949 and Doulton & Co. Limited.

Measures: 6 1/4 inches tall X 7 inches wide.

It is in excellent condition.
