Large “Athos” Toby Jug by Royal Doulton, England – D6439 , Produced 1956-1991 – One of the Three Musketeers

This English Royal Doulton large porcelain Toby Jug is entitled “Athos” and was designed by Max Henk. It is numbered D6375, has a copyright date of 1955 and was discontinued in 1991.  Athos was one of the original Three Musketeers in the novel by Alexander Dumas and is part of the series, Characters in Literature.

Marked: With the Doulton factory mark, Made in England, Royal Doulton, England, Athos, D6439, CORP 1955 and Doulton & Co. Limited.

Measures: 7 1/4 inches tall X 7 1/4 inches wide.

It is in excellent condition.
