R.S.Prussia Porcelain 2 Handled Cake Plate, c. 1890, Mill Scene with a Woman, Scalloped Rim

A wonderful R.S. Prussia porcelain 2-handled cake plate with a scalloped rim in the “Mill” scene c. 1890. The back of the plate is white and the front has been painted in shades of yellow and brown with gold designs and accents.

In the centre of the front is a colourful mill scene with a water wheel and stream with a woman sitting in the grass. In the background are trees and there are birds, bushes, and flowers in the foreground.

On the back of the plate is the R.S. Prussia maker’s mark and it is stamped “RS Prussia”.

The cake plate is 10 inches wide from handle to handle.

While there are a few flecks of paint loss, overall the plate is in very good condition.
