Rare Shelley England Fine Bone China Pedestal Comport – “Dainty Orange” Pattern

A wonderful fine bone china pedestal comport in the rare “Dainty Orange” pattern by Shelley England.

The compote has a scalloped rim and base and shows the distinctive Shelley “petal” shape in the centre of the compote’s surface.

On the underside, it shows the Shelley maker’s mark and reads “Fine Bone China. Shelley England. Rd 272101”. In addition, in paint, are the numbers “051/8”.

The compote is 9 inches in diameter and is in excellent condition.
