LightingThe stunning, very fine quality, hand carved and gilt wood pair of Tuscan lamps are exceptionally executed in 18th century Baroque style: extensively carved, sculpted and elegantly painted in decadent gilt gold. Highly stylized, richly detailed and elaborately decorated in scroll, openwork, acanthus foliate motifs, with a circular form base and tripartite claw feet. Matching gilt painted opaque lampshades with delicate hand inscribed, elegantly soft leaf images that surround the base of each shade. The shades offer a warm light, that adds a luxurious romantic ambiance. Early 20th century, re-wired, in excellent condition and marked “Made in Italy” to the base.
