Set of 6 Royal Worcester Porcelain Art Deco Painted / Enamelled Demi-Tasse Cups and Saucers, Pattern 1544, Dated 1936
v** SOLD ARCHIVES **vA gorgeous set of 6 Royal Worcester Art Deco painted and enamelled porcelain demitasse cups and matching rectangular saucers, dated 1936. The set is pattern # 1544.
Each cup and saucer is painted in an apple green colour with white interiors and handles on the cups and white centre section on the saucers.
On the green paint and on the inside of each cup are enamelled flowers and both the cups and saucers have gilt edging on the rims and handles.
The underside of each piece shows the Royal Worcester maker’s mark and date code and each is stamped “Royal Worcester”. There is a registration mark of “RdNo 807404” and, in red ink, “1544” for the pattern number.
Each cup is 3 1/2 inches wide from the rim to the handle and stands 1 3/4 inches tall. Each saucer is 5 inches long x 3 1/4 inches wide.
The set is in very good / excellent condition.
