Superb English Royal Worcester Hand-Painted Fruit Pedestal Centerpiece Bowl by Celebrated Howard H. Price, 1951

An exquisite,  Royal Worcester porcelain boat-shaped pedestal center piece bowl featuring a stunning, masterfully executed “fallen fruit” still-life study on a soft, mossy background. The artwork is individually hand-painted and fully signed by the highly celebrated Royal Worcester factory artist, Horace H. Price. It showcases heavily detailed, rich ripening peaches, deep purple grapes, and delicate blossoms, with the elegant hand signature located within the lower quadrant of the painted still-life vignette.
The fine bone china body is adorned with opulent 22-carat gold detailing, including stylized mask motifs on the scrolling twin handles, molded gadroon relief work along the rim, and a heavily gilded pedestal foot. This piece features a distinct, purple-printed Royal Worcester factory backstamp on the underside containing a single dot beneath the letter “W”, which explicitly marks its production year as 1951.
The hand-painted palette is vibrant and glossy, making it a fine example of mid-twentieth-century English craftsmanship.
Note:  Professional repair to one handle.
