Art Deco WMF Germany Silver-plated Jewelry / Dresser Box, c. 1910-1920, Original Fabric Lining

Here is a wonderful WMF Germany silver plated jewelry / dresser box in a casket style with a hinged lid, c. 1910-1920. The box is marked on the underside with The famous ostrich mark consists of the image of a running ostrich put inside the rhombus with a two-line inscription WMF/G, a B in a box, OX in a box, I/O.

There is a left facing bust of a woman on the front and back of the box and flower basket finial. It is lined with the original beige fabric (stained from age and wear).

The box is 4 3/8 inches wide X 2 5/8 inches deep X 4 1/4 inches high.

It is in very good condition, Some silver plate wear – a bit of interior fabric staining from silver polishing.  The piece will polish up better with a bit of work.
