Esteemed English Coalport Fine Bone China, Luxurious Gold “Hazelton” Pattern Dinner Service Set for 8, Circa 1950s

This “Hazelton” pattern dinnerware service for eight in fine bone china, made by the esteemed English manufacturer Coalport, is known for its elegant design. Characterized by its rich Rococo style, and featuring a delicate gold grape and vine motif embellished with extensive, heavy gilt (gold) trim and accents on a white, ivory background. 

Coalport earned royal patronage and was highly sought after by the European aristocracy, exhibiting at the Great Exhibition of 1851. The company was eventually acquired by the Wedgwood group in 1967, and the brand continued under Wedgwood until at least 2010.  The green back stamp as seen here and impressed marks typically date to the 1950s.  Antique and vintage Coalport pieces remain highly collectible today, cherished for their historical significance and quality.
