Unusual Shelley England Fine Bone China Egg Server with 4 Egg Cups and an Under-plate – Rare “Dainty Orange” Pattern

An unusual and rare fine bone china egg server in the “Dainty Orange” pattern by Shelley England. The egg server consists of 4 egg cups and a matching  underplate.

On the underside of each piece is the Shelley maker’s mark and is stamped “Fine Bone China. Shelley England. Rd 272101”. In addition, in paint, “051/8”.

Each egg cup is 1 7/8 inches x 1 7/8 inches and the under plate is 7 inches square with indentations so that the egg cups don’t slide on the underplate.

There is minute paint loss on the rims of 2 of the cups but, overall, this set is in very good condition.
