A fabulous 19th Century pair of Satinwood commodes with decorative inlays in multicoloured ribbons, bows, vases.  The Sheraton style commodes date from the late 19th Century have tapered legs and spade feet.  Two curved doors on either side and three drawers in the centre of each.

Measures:  39.5 inches wide x 18.5 inches deep x 32.5 inches high.

Beautiful Quality 19th Century Louis XV Style French Marble Top, Tapering Shaped with Curved Glass Vitrine – Bronze Mounts & Hardware.

A superb King Wood vitrine with curved glass front, curved glass sides, of tapering form.  Quality bronze mounts surround each glass side display, door, feet, front and 2 side figural busts decorate the corners, .  2 glass shelves on the inside of the vitrine are different lengths as the tapering form of the cabinet narrows from top to bottom.  Original silk backing and bottom – with some tears and stains – but easily re-upholstered as the back unscrews and is removable.  A very unusual shape and is in beautiful condition.

A handsome sterling silver tankard with hinged lid and straight sided design, by William Darker, it dates early 18th century during the reign of  George II, England.  It features a large engraved cartouche containing a decorative monogram in the front centre, a handle with an intricate scroll and ornate thumb design,with hand engraved initials ( possibly belonging to the original owner of the tankard ), and fully marked inside the lid, and the bottom.

Marked: English Sterling Hallmarked. London. Dated, 1733.
Maker: William Darker

Measures: 7 inches tall x 4 1/2 inches wide ( 2 7/8 inches from the handle.)

A ‘Large Tiffany & Co – Sterling Silver – Pierced Platter’ with Repoussé Chrysanthemum floral edge.

It features a large oval-shaped body with an unusual deep repousse and pierced design, decorated with chrysanthemum flowers and ferns, and embellished with acanthus leaves. In the centre, engraved script monograms, possibly the initials of the previous owner. Marked – ‘Tiffany &Co. Sterling Silver’ (featured on the back). Beautiful condition.

Pair of American Sterling Candle Holders circa 1920

A pair of candle holders in sterling silver, it dates circa 1920 with American origins. Each candle holder has a unique tulip shape at the top to hold the candle in place at the centre, it also has round foot for placement at the bottom. The body mimics the shape and style of Greek columns with fine engraved lines and a smooth classical form.

A pair of American sterling candle holders, perfect art objects for everyday, or entertaining.

Measures: 12 inches in height.

Marked on underside of base – Sterling, cement filled, Approx wt  7 ozs.

Inscribed with initials  of ‘R. A. F. ‘ on the each of the pedestals.

Excellent Condition: No dents, or repairs. (minimal surface and tarnish from gentle use, can be easily polished. Note: the dark marks on the surface are reflections, and does not affect the condition — for more inquiries in regards to the condition feel free to send a message)

This pair of silver candle sticks from Warsaw Poland are .800 silver and are non-weighted. They are fashioned after a Corinthian column with a tall, thin, smooth shaft topped with ornamental tops and footed decorative bases making them quite classical.

“Be our guest” as you pull up a chair, and  dine by candle light with this pair of lovely candlesticks or give as a perfect gift for those well-deserved celebratory moments.

Marked: Womans head with kerchief, 3 woman head with kerchief W for .800 silver and the city of Warsaw and the mark of WSZ for a maker unknown to me.

Measures: 10 3/4 inches high x 3 3/4 inches wide.

Condition: Each candle stick has some wear to the tops and a few tiny dings to the columns (pictured).

A beautifully hand painted Vienna, Austrian plate with a scene of two woman holding “Cupid” and clipping his wings.  The cobalt blue border is decorated with gold swans with wreaths in between each swan.  The painting is signed:  A. Wale.  It is titled on the back:  ‘Cupido u Cephisa’.  The painting is after Angelica Kauffman.

Classical French, 24 inches High Bronze ‘Triomphe des Arts’ – Statue of a Maiden with Lyre. Signed ‘A.Gaudez’.

A classical bronze statue of a maiden holding a turtle shell lyre in tribute to ‘Triomphe Des Arts’, (possibly Venus) dedicated to the new arts in the public sphere, inspired by love.

Features two inscribed plaques ‘Triomphe Des Arts Par A Gaudez Hors Concours’, and then a presentation plaque reading ‘Le Comite de la Ste De Secours Mutuels De La Ville De St Die. Ason President Pierre Hirsinger 28 – 7 – 1925’ done in 1925.  The figure would be dated earlier than this in the 1880’s.

Signed, ‘A.Gaudez’ for Adrien Etienne Gaudez (1845-1902)

Signed. ‘A.Gaudez’ on bronze.  Titled on front with 2 plaques (noted above).
